Like lots of folks in Western North Carolina, you probably are wondering about the cost of orthodontic care. At Blue Ridge Orthodontics, we’re proud to provide high-quality, state-of-the-art orthodontic treatment from a friendly team of professionals at a very competitive price. BRO offers a variety orthodontic options at different price points — from traditional metal braces to less-visible types of braces, and from Invisalign to our new Impressions system.
What does my first appointment cost?
At Blue Ridge Orthodontics we offer free new patient consultations. Just call our office at 828-585-6045 or reserve your appointment online [link to new form] to schedule today. We’ll take photos and an x-ray (if needed), and then you’ll meet with one of our doctors to discuss your smile or your child’s smile at no cost. You don’t have to wait for a referral from your dentist.
What determines treatment cost?
It’s all about treatment approach and time. Everyone’s smile is different. Cost is affected by how complex the issues are with your bite, how many challenges we need to address to get from today to that confident, healthy smile. If there is any other work needed, like with an oral surgeon or your general dentist, that can figure into your overall cost, too.
The best way for us to estimate your cost is to determine the treatment plan (or plans) that are right for you. And since initial consultations are complimentary at BRO, there’s no cost to you to find out more about your treatment options and costs.
Is there a cost difference for children and adults?
Cost differences are more about the treatment approach and duration than about whether a BRO patient is an adult or a child.
Adults typically have a single phase of treatment. Children often need two phases of treatment, which represent two separate costs.
But early childhood intervention can actually save money in the long run. Many kids under 11 years old are not ready for treatment, but catching things earlier can avoid more extensive and costly treatment later. And there will be no charge after our initial consultation for follow-up observations until your child is ready for treatment. So the earlier, the better. We recommend the initial consultation by the age of 7.
How much do braces cost with BRO?
This is often one of the first questions we get from people considering orthodontic treatment. Without having a consultation and looking at your or your child’s x-rays, we can’t provide an exact price. Each patient’s treatment costs differ with approach and treatment time. So call our office to schedule a free new patient exam to find out exact costs, treatment options and possible payment plans.
How much does Invisalign cost in Asheville compared with braces?
In most practices, the cost of Invisalign® is comparable to braces, but does cost slightly more. At Blue Ridge Orthodontics you’ll pay exactly the same price for Invisalign® and braces. We want you to be able to choose the treatment option that you are most comfortable with, not the lower-cost one.
Also, Invisalign treatment is covered by most dental insurance policies. When you come in for your first exam, we’ll verify any insurance benefits and develop your flexible payment plan.
Blue Ridge Orthodontics is among the top 1% of Invisalign providers in North America again this year. With our extensive experience with Invisalign treatment, we can design an Invisalign plan that’s right for you — even if you’ve been told that you aren’t a candidate for Invisalign by another practitioner. And since we charge the same price for Invisalign and braces, you can decide which treatment approach is right for you, your goals and your lifestyle!
We Offer a Military Discount for Orthodontic Treatment
Have you served in our country’s military? Blue Ridge Orthodontics is now proud to offer a military discount! Active and retired military members can get 10% off of their entire treatment.
For this to be applicable, potential patients will need to present their military ID or CAC card when they come into one of our orthodontic offices in Western North Carolina.
Does my insurance cover braces? How about Invisalign?
Blue Ridge Orthodontics accepts and works with all dental insurance providers, so we’re happy to talk with your insurance company to determine your exact benefits for orthodontic treatment. Usually if your insurance covers braces, it also will cover Invisalign and other types of orthodontic treatment.
If you’re already paying for those dental benefits — or your employer has provided them for you — then why not take full advantage of them? Schedule your free consultation with BRO today, and we’ll evaluate your insurance coverage before or during your initial appointment.
What payment and financing options are available?
BRO offers flexible in-house financing and down payment options. We’ll work with you to find a payment plan that fits your needs and your family’s situation. Some plans include a down payment and affordable monthly payments. Other plans include zero down payment and no interest charged over the payment and treatment schedule. Discounts also may be available when multiple family members change their smile with BRO.
Our treatment coordinator will go over all your options during your new patient exam.
In addition to working with your insurance provider and setting up in-house financing, BRO accepts all major credit cards. We also offer third-party financing through Care Credit.
We want to help you achieve that beautiful, confident smile — and understand that figuring out the right financing can be as important as the right treatment plan.
